About Cary

Cary Cheshire is a proven conservative leader with a strong record of fighting for fiscal responsibility, government accountability, and educational excellence in Texas. A conservative activist and taxpayer advocate, Cary is running for the Tarrant County College District Board of Trustees, Place 7, to ensure that TCC prioritizes taxpayers, empowers students, and supports workforce development.
Cary has spent his career advancing conservative values and responsible governance. He previously served as President of Texans for Fiscal Responsibility, where he fought for lower taxes, limited government, and pro-business policies. As an activist, Cary has supported the Republican Party in Tarrant County, where he serves as vice chairman, and is routinely asked to speak to conservative organizations across the state. At the last Texas GOP convention, he was elected to the Platform Committee and chaired the Subcommittee on Education.
A proud graduate of Texas A&M University with a B.A. in Political Science, Cary understands the importance of higher education in preparing students for career success and civic leadership. He is committed to ensuring TCC remains affordable, efficient, and focused on student achievement.
Cary will bring strong conservative leadership to the TCC Board by fighting wasteful spending, protecting free speech on campus, and expanding workforce training programs that serve local businesses and industries. As a fiscal watchdog and education advocate, Cary will work to keep TCC accountable to taxpayers, students, and the community.
